In our class, we use Class Dojo. Class Dojo works on a point system individually per student Each students earns 3 dojos for showing up on time to class (with the exception of excused tardy). Students can earn dojos by turning in their homework, participating, being on task, helping others etc. They might lose dojos for being off task, interrupting/talking out of turn, throwing items in class etc. Each day they will record their points and at the end of the week add them all up. Their assignment log, signed with 80 minutes (adjusted for shorter weeks) read will earn them bonus points on Fridays. All money is recorded in an online banking system. Students can purchase rewards from our class store.
We also use a Marble Jar as whole class motivation. If the entire class is working quietly and efficiently, or if they display role model behavior for guest teachers, assemblies etc they can earn a hand full of marbles toward a marble party. Marble Parties are then voted on in class.
